John Wesley Clayton, Founder, Managing Director and Partner at Twickenham Advisors, graduated from The University of the South, Sewanee, in 1986 having earned a Degree with Honors in Psychology and a concentration in English.
Wes immediately began his career as an investment advisor with a small regional firm, joining Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 1993. Wes was a member of the President’s Council at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. In 2013, Wes co-founded Twickenham Wealth Advisors, an independent financial advisory practice dedicated to the highest level of service for clients. He has earned the designations of Senior Investment Management Consultant and Financial Planning Specialist, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Wes’ responsibilities as a member of Twickenham Advisors include long-range strategic planning, retirement and estate planning, and wealth transition. Wes also handles risk management, lending liability management and insurance / annuity / long-term care investments for our clients.
Wes is married to Frances Sanders and has three daughters, Sanders, Hannah Page and Alee. Wes has been active in the community serving on the boards of a number of institutions including the Huntsville Museum of Art Foundation, Burritt Museum, Randolph School, the Huntsville Hospital Advisory Council and the Boys and Girls Clubs.
